History Edit

Image Comics is one of the largest comic book companies in the world, after Marvel and DC. It was formed in 1992 by a group of creators who left Marvel Comics as they did not own the rights to their creations. The company was thus intended for creators to create series and characters which they, the creators, would own.

In 2017, their headquarters moved to Portland, Oregon. They were previously based in Berkeley, California.

Trivia Edit

  • They didn't publish their own comics until 1993. In 1992, it was Malibu Comics who published them, as Image did not have the funding to do so.
